I am a Southern California-based visual artist using photography as my springboard to creating collectible images. Once an image is made in camera, I typically employ various post-processing techniques such as multiple exposure, collage, and composites. As a further step toward producing more singular work, I’ve begun applying metal leaf to prints, resulting in one-of-a-kind pieces.  Less singular but equally different, are the wire constructions I create and then photograph into abstracts.

This more fluid approach to photography is directly opposite to the work I did in my early years as a working photographer. Then, I concentrated exclusively on documenting reality for my “Day in the Life” work with families. While I loved that work and still delight in hearing from clients who continue to prize the hardbound books I made for them, nowadays, I far prefer to invent reality than document it.
